Sea Scamp Description

Description of Sea Scamp

Sea Scamp is a three quarter-rigged Bermudan sloop, built to the fifty square metre class rules. She is 41 feet overall with an 8ft 6in beam. She is constructed of mahogany on oak frames.

While there are concessions to modern navigation, communication and safety equipment, and while she now has an auxiliary diesel engine, every effort has been made to retain the original character of the boat.

There is a full sail wardrobe, including spinnaker. With a good wind on the beam, she can maintain 8 to 9 knots.
