Sea Scamp Club

The Club

The Sea Scamp Syndicate was formed in 1984 by a group of enthusiasts. We now have over 100 members, but we are always on the look-out for keen new people to join us. Members either pay a subscription, or buy shares in the club, or a combination of the two.

The income of the club is mainly derived from daily sailing fees paid by those who sail. As much maintenance as possible is done by the members during the winter refit, and an allowance against the daily sailing fee is given for work undertaken.

While the club is not a formal sail-training organisation, we do try and help our members become more proficient, both by providing training when possible during cruises, and by setting aside weekends specifically for training on Sea Scamp.

We also operate a club grading system.
